Black Banks: An Easy Way to Support the Black Economy

A major obstacle to supporting Black owned businesses is that in some places there are not enough Black owned businesses to provide products and services to meet consumer demand in the community.  If you live in such a place, an easy alternative is to open an account at a Black owned bank.  If you don’t want to close your current bank account, consider opening a second account or even a savings account for a child at a Black owned bank.  By doing so, you will be supporting a Black owned business.  The bank will in turn lend money to Black people to start and maintain businesses and purchase homes.  You will be strengthening many areas of the Black economy just by opening an account.  Don’t worry if there is not a branch near you, you can open your account online!  Here are some resources to find a Black owned bank:
